Barnes & Noble Kitchen – Website

As online retailers continue to grow at a rapid pace, brick-and-mortar stores have struggled to keep their brands relevant. To address this challenge and give customers more options, Barnes & Noble is piloting upscale casual American restaurants that celebrate classic cafe culture.

Barnes & Noble Kitchen, with three locations across the U.S., features whole, thoughtfully sourced food, craft beer, and premium wines all set in a casual and approachable atmosphere.

Our approach for Barnes & Noble Kitchen was to create a branded experience that made the user feel as though they were walking into a bookstore. The website was meant to be warm, inviting, and comforting, full of little details that invoke bookstores, libraries, and reading.

We’re incredibly proud of our team and grateful to the Los Angeles chapter of the American Advertising Awards for recognizing our work and granting us our inaugural win.
